Frequently Asked Questions

  • Birch Road is a wealth stewardship practice. We help individuals, families, and the advisors who serve them do the human work that most financial conversations skip - clarifying what wealth is actually for, what values should govern how it moves, and what kind of stewards you want to be across generations.

  • Birch Road works with a range of people at different points in their relationship with money.

Individuals and families navigating change, as well as advisors and family office professionals who want to improve the quality of discovery with their clients.

If you have found yourself wondering what your money is really for, or what it means to steward it well, Birch Road was built for that question.

  • Most money conversations start with the portfolio. We start with the person.

The advisory industry is exceptionally good at managing capital. It is less equipped to help families and individuals understand what they believe, what they want to build, and what kind of stewards they are becoming. Birch Road was built specifically for that layer; the identity and values work that makes every downstream financial conversation more coherent.

  • The guided journey experience is free. We believe the first step toward stewardship clarity should have no barrier, and that the journey itself is the best way to understand whether Birch Road is the right fit for deeper work.

Advisory engagements are priced by scope and depth. We work across several engagement types, and we are happy to have a direct conversation about which engagement type makes sense for where you are. There is no pressure and no formula.

  • No. The journey is available to individuals and families directly, with no advisor involvement required.

That said, Birch Road is designed to work well alongside an advisory relationship. If you are already working with a financial advisor, estate planner, or family office, the synthesis from your journey can be shared with them, giving your existing advisors better context for the work they do with you.

If you come to Birch Road through an advisor who uses our platform, they will have access to your synthesis briefing and will be able to see insights from your journey. That access is scoped only to your designated advisor.

  • Yes. Your journey responses are private by default.

We use role-based access controls so that advisors can only see the clients assigned to them. All data is encrypted in transit. We use secure magic link authentication; no passwords are stored. Our platform is built on Supabase infrastructure, which maintains its own SOC 2 certification.

We do not sell, share, or use your personal information for advertising purposes. Your responses are used to generate your synthesis briefing, improve our methodology on a strictly anonymized basis, and, where applicable, share insights with your designated advisor.

You can read our full Privacy Policy for more detail. If you have specific questions about how your data is handled, you are always welcome to reach out directly.

  • The journey is currently available by invitation. If you would like to request access, reach out directly and we will be in touch shortly.

If you are an advisor or family office professional interested in bringing Birch Road to your practice, we would love to have that conversation. Use the contact page or email us directly.
